A rating of 1.00 would indicate that the team allows as many goals as it scores. A rating of 2.00 would indicate that the team scores 2 goals for every goal that it allows. Correspondingly, a rating of .50 would indicate that opponents, on average, score twice as many goals against the team as the team scores for itself.
