Photo of the Month
Over the next few months, I will be presenting a series of photographs from my recent trip to California. During that time I was able to obtain some great images of the beautiful California coastline, wildlife, flowers and desert. One of my favorite areas that we visited was Torrey Pines. While we stopped to visit this hang glider port on the coast, I was able to grab a few good images of the breathtaking ocean views. Using the aperture priority setting on my Olympus E20N digital SLR, I captured this great shot of the shoreline.
I composed this shot using a 1/320th second shutter speed and an ISO 80 setting. I also chose an f8.0 aperture for good depth-of-field. The 35mm equivalent focal length used was 68mm which is slightly longer than a normal lens. Although the colors are a bit over-saturated in this image, I have left it virtually untouched from the original. Everyone who has seen it loves this photograph! I hope that you like it as well.
