This online community attracts hundreds of serious photographers, both amateur and professional, to debate a variety of interesting topics. This site also has equipment classified ads, reviews, numerous articles on techniques and hundreds of useful links.

The Luminous Landscape Michael Reichman's outstanding site is dedicated to the art and technique of landscape photography. This site contains an extensive image gallery, educational articles, travel and technical information, product reviews and a discussion forum. There is a strong emphasis on digital image processing here. This is a website that you will want to visit often.

The Photo Zone Klaus Schroiff's superb photography website is based in Germany. This site is popular for it's user equipment performance surveys of hundreds of lenses. Users rate the lenses for sharpness, distortion, flare, vignetting, build quality and AF speed. Another user survey rates the performance of various slide films for resolution, grain, contrast, saturation, color balance, tonal range, etc. Also featured are SLR system feature overviews, technical information on hardware and a fantastic section on photo techniques for metering, exposure and composition. 

NÆRFOTO Bjørn Rørslett lives in Oslo Norway and has been a photographer for 30 years. His colorful and visually dazzling website is one of the best nature photography sites on the web. Here you will find a virtual cornucopia of useful information about cameras, lenses, films, tripods, even infrared(IR) and ultraviolet(UV) photography. Finally a very large gallery of Bjørn's work is displayed here in a clear and colorful presentation. 

Grizzly Bear Nature Photography Based in Keystone South Dakota, John Herbst and his wife Cheryl began Grizzly Bear as a stock company in 1991.  They live and work within a dramatic setting near Mt Rushmore and the Black Hills. A joy to visit, their website is an extensive resource of information for nature photographers. Here you will find extensive tips for shooting wildlife, equipment reviews, books reviews, images of the month, photo locations, and workshops.

WildBirds.com This site is an excellent resource for backyard birders. There are sections on feeding, attracting, identifying, watching, protecting and photographing wild birds. Also there's lots of wild bird links, a nature store and a kids corner.

Camera Review An interesting new site where photographers rate their camera equipment based on personal experience. Small, Medium, and Large format cameras and lenses are reviewed here. This is a good starting point for someone contemplating a new equipment purchase.
